Bronze Sword of King Zhougou of Yue State Warring States Period Length: 56.8cm Width: 4.3cm From the Tomb No.1 at Tengdian in Jingzhou The graphical inscriptions on the sword indicate that it belonged to King Zhougou of Yue State. Unfortunately, the sword unearthed from the tomb of a lower aristocrat of Chu State means that the last owner of this sword had shifted from monarch of Yue State to a general of Chu State.

The style is lifelike. The tiger is craning, pricking up ears and baring teeth. The body is in fleck design and vortex design.

Lotus-shaped Dou-dish with a Phoenix-shaped Stand Warring States Period Diameter: 24.8cm (Dish) 24.4cm(Rim) From the Tomb No.2 at Tianxingguan in Jingzhou It consists of a lotus-shaped Dou-dish, the bird head, the bird claws and the snake body. Its surface is coated with the black lacquer and painted with dragon, phoenix, snake, toad and bird-feature design in red and yellow. The inside of Dou-dish is coated in the red lacquer.

Qiu Yi Shirt (front front and back side) Warring States Period Length: 45.5cm, Width: 52cm (totally), Width of Sleeves: 10.7cm, Width of Waist: 26cm From the Tomb No.1 at Mashan in Jingzhou On the board inventory in the bamboo box containing this small coat titled “Qiu Yi”, in this case we knew it should be sent by the relatives of the dead for him using under the ground. The shirt is made from the whole cloth which is cut from the two sides. The upper part is folded into the sleeves while the lower part is folded into the front of the garment.

As the surface of the robe, the thin silk in light yellow is embroidered with the design of phoenix and flower. The outer edge of the robe is weft-patterned to hunting; the middle of the inner edge of the robe and inner of the front of the garment are embroidered with the design of phoenix and dragon. The two sides of inner part are designed with rhombic phoenix and flowers. The sleeves and the lap are weft-patterned with larger rhombus.

The eight patterns are: a pair of coiling dragons; a Qing with a cross ornaments below; a pair of dancing birds; a pair of coiling ugly dragons with two horns; a phoenix with coiled tail; a pair of dragons with their heads burying their bodies; a pair of flying phoenixes; a pair of phoenixes standing back to back. Each one is concisely designed, and is also elegant, and harmonious.

It is coated with the black stand and it is colored in vermilion, yellow and blue. It is a piece of rare lacquer ware with great unique and wild imagination.

Wine Vessel Container in Pig Shape Warring States Period Height: 28.6cm Length: 64.2cm Width: 24cm From the Tomb No.2 at Tianxingguan in Jingzhou It consists of lid and body. Its external wall is coated with the black lacquer and painted with dragon, phoenix, cloud, conviviality and pig-head design in red, yellow, silver grey and brownish red. Its internal way is coated with the red lacquer.
